Extremely complex cladding project sweeping, leaning and twisting between levels and balconies, while wrapping an architectural ha-ha above. The cladding leans down towards the building while curving and twisting between levels, its fixed to a metal substructure and made from Ipe hardwood. A BIM model and 3D scan of the site condition enabled us to extract the data needed to generate a detailed 3D model of the twists and turns. We then labeled and flattened each component or plank for manufacture from flat materials and then re-twisted to form the shape.
